BIOGRAPHY
Sam Kressner is a New York-based screenwriter and playwright.

He is currently in pre-production on his first feature film, Light On Broken Glass. BAFTA Winning producer Daniel Marc Dreifuss (All Quiet on the Western Front) will produce with Academy Award Nominee and Emmy Award Winning actress Patricia Clarkson (Sharp Objects) attached to star in the lead role.

Sam is also in pre-production on his Kentucky set thriller, Trimmers, about a clique of female college grads who have been awarded the opportunity to work as pot trimmers at Cumberland Gardens, a multi-generational wellness sanctuary and cannabis farm deep in the heart of rural Appalachia. However, when farm's multi-generational owner and spiritual docent proves to be running an underground drug ring, the girls are forced into a violent battle for their lives. Pollywog Films (Neighborhood Watch) will produce. Rachel Annette Helson (The Air He Breathes) is attached to direct.

In addition, Sam has worked with a host of domestic and international film directors such as Isabel Coixet (Elegy), Peter Sattler (Camp X-Ray), and Claire McCarthy (Ophelia). He has also sold an hour long pilot to Ingenious Media.

Sam holds a B.A. from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is a graduate of Columbia University's MFA Playwriting program where he studied under the mentorship of playwrights Lynn Nottage and David Henry Hwang.
